The welcome room, and how it is kept clean
The welcome room is the first live conversation a new brother walks into. It is where a man says hello, names what he is carrying and gets prayed for the same day. Because it is live, it is also the easiest room to misuse, so here is exactly what belongs in it and exactly what gets pulled out of it.
You are walking into a room of men who are fighting the same fight. Come in to be known and to carry someone. Be alert and always keep on praying. Ephesians chapter 6.
What belongs in the welcome room
Say hello as yourself
Your handle, where you are in your walk, and what made you finally open the door. You do not owe the room your legal name or your city. You do owe it the truth about why you came.
Name the struggle plainly
You can say you carry same sex attraction. You can say you fell this week. You can say you are tired, angry at God, or scared this will never lift. Plain honesty is the whole point of the room.
Ask for prayer out loud
Ask the men in the room to pray, right there, for the thing in front of you. Then pray for the brother who asked before you did. That exchange is what the welcome room is for.
Ask your questions about the room
How the journals work, who can read what, what the prayer wall is, why the room blocks contact details. Ask. A staff brother or an older member will answer.
Encourage with scripture and with your own story
A verse that carried you. A week that turned. What obedience cost you and what it gave back. Testimony builds men. Slogans do not.
What gets flagged and pulled
Any contact detail
Emails, phone numbers, social handles, usernames, links, outside apps. Spelled out, disguised or spaced apart, it is caught the same way, and the line never posts.
Any move to take it private off the lounge
Let us talk somewhere else. Message me on the other app. Do you want to meet. All of it gets pulled. If two brothers want to talk one to one, they do it inside the lounge where the room's protection still covers them.
Anything sexual
Explicit detail, fantasy, descriptions of encounters, asking a brother what he is into. You may say what you struggle with. You may not narrate it and you may not invite another man into it.
Anything that reads like courting
Compliments about a man's looks or voice, private attention aimed at one brother, asking who is single, pictures. This is not a dating space, and staff pull that kind of line without a second conversation.
Contempt, mockery or preaching at a man
We hold the line on holiness and we do not use it as a weapon. A line that shames a brother who just told the truth gets pulled, because the next honest man is watching how we handled him.
Carrying another brother's words out of the room
Screenshots, quoting a man's confession, telling his story anywhere else. What is said here stays here, and breaking that is treated as seriously as anything else on this page.
How it is actually watched
The room is live, and every line is checked
Everything you type is scanned before it reaches another brother. If it trips a check, nothing posts, you keep your words and you are told what stopped it. Fix the unsafe part and say it again.
Staff read the welcome room
A staff brother can open the whole room in the staff dashboard, see who said what and when, and pull a line out of it. When that happens, the line disappears from the room for everyone, the reason is recorded and so is the staff brother who acted.
A pulled line is not a deleted man
Most pulled lines end with a conversation, not a removal. A man who keeps aiming at brothers moves through the steps on the safety page: a talk, limits, suspension, and the door.
If something in the room troubles you, report it
Do not handle it yourself and do not warn men quietly. Flag it. It goes to the staff queue and staff read it. That is how the room stays safe for the man who walks in next week.
The rest of it, written down
Every house rule of the lounge is on the house rules page. How this room is kept safe is on the Safety page, and what we keep and never do with it is in the Privacy Policy.
